Wirral School Library Service
Our aim is to work
with schools to:
- promote information
literacy through the school library
- help children develop
a love of reading
- provide teachers
and pupils with good quality resources.
We offer these
services to help you:
- advice and practical
help in designing and developing school
libraries
- resources
which have been carefully selected for your needs
- a delivery service
to bring our resources to your school .
- a centre for you
to visit at Acre Lane, or telephone help when you need it.
- information on new fiction and picture books and award winners
Who do we serve?
All schools and the
teachers working in them in Wirral Education Authority - primary, secondary
and special. At present primary and special schools have devolved funding;
secondary schools have delegated funding and may choose whether to subscribe
to the service. Details of Service Agreements are available from SLS.
