How Does it Work?
- You take part in a PPD activity, for example, course, conference, school focused development project.
- You indertake the work in your school/setting linked to this PPD activity
- You produce a portfolio of accrediation evidence
The portfolio is based on three elements:
- Reationale for the activity
- Development of practice which may include presentations to staff/governors, curriculum audit, small scale research project with staff/pupils, scheme of work, new curriculum materials and resources
- Impact of development on teaching and learning
If you are interested in pursuing postgraduate accreditation, this module can also be counted as 20 credits or one module at Masters Degree level
Developing the Children's Workforce
We also offer a range of flexible courses that provide the qualifications, skills and knowledge you need to play a significant role in this new initiative:
- Foundation Degree in Supporting Teaching and Learning (Primary & Secondary)
- Foundation Degree in Early Years Leadership, Educationn & Practice
- Teaching Assistant Specialist Programme (TASP) - Physical Education
Edge Hill University can also accredit work from the wider school workforce including bursars, administrators, midday staff, technicians and cleaning staff. Please contact us for further information.
