Primary Capital Strategy

Wirral has consulted on the draft Primary Capital Strategy for Change which sets out our plans for the initial years of the Government's Primary Capital Programme. There is a particular focus on rebuilding or substantially renovating schools, particularly in deprived urban areas, as well as addressing surplus places and standards.

On 22nd May 2008, Council's Cabinet approved the Strategy which has been submitted to the Department for Children, Schools and Families for approval.
