Four professional artists were based in a house in the conservation area of Port Sunlight to mark the centenary of the founding of the Port Sunlight factory of Lever Brothers and the village.
The artists demonstrated their abilities as artists-printmakers, in producing limited edition prints of their Port Sunlight images.
Young people were encouraged to record their own impressions of the village and translate their ideas into paint and inks. An exhibition, Work in Progress, displayed pupils art work as well as that of Alan Lumsden, Audrey Hind, Colin Paynton and Geoffrey Yeomans.
