What are Artists-in-Residence?


Play Narration Stop NarrationIn the Spring Term 2000 Unilever sponsored five artists to work in twelve primary and secondary schools in Wirral to explore the theme Inside Outside, an art and architecture project highlighting the built environment of Wirral.

The following schools took part in the scheme:

Bidston Avenue, Hilbre High School, Plessington High School worked with Printmaker Michelle Rowley.

Higher Bebington Junior, Woodchurch High School worked with Sculptor Paul Bearman.

West Kirby High, Upton Hall Convent, Wirral Grammar School for Boys worked with Fine Artist Ian Murphy.

Great Meols Primary, St Mary's CE Eastham worked with Batik Artist Sian Hughes.

Somerville Primary, Mosslands worked with Photographer Ken grant
