This is a shot of the male barn owl hunting over the fields close to the nest site.
You can just make out that he as got prey in his tallons.

“Male and female barn owl roosting in the loft, over the past few days the female has been spending more time in the box, is this a sign of early breeding?” In January I was very concerned about the pair surviving the prolonged spell of very cold temp. and snow. These were the worst conditions the pair has had to go through during their six years of breeding in the loft. Thankfully they made it!
