	Welcome to our website! You can look at pictures of the fun activities we do as part of Wirral Children's University and read about what we thought of them. Congratulations to two pupils from St Mary’s CE primary Eastham who are the first in Wirral to achieve Gold Medals! The Children's University is an innovative and dynamic project that raises children's self-esteem, achievements and learning aspirations through the delivery of quality activities outside normal curriculum time. Within the philosophy of of the Children's University there are 3 basic underpinning priciples: The belief that learning is a life-long process The belief that all children want to learn The belief that all parents want their children to succeed The Children's University uses modules related to sport, music, theatre, photography, drama, television, radio, opera and many others to stimulate children and encourage them to love learning.

This website was made by pupils from Wallasey School Somerville and Portland Primary School at the Learning Lighthouse. They learned lots of new skills using Dreamweaver and put them to use by building the site. The 3 Year 10 pupils from Wallasey School mentored the 12 Year 5 pupils and took a leading role in developing the site in a series of after school sessions which earned them a certificate from Wirral Children's University
