The School's Library Services offers support for education in schools by:

•  making available teaching and learning resources across the curriculum

•  promoting and encouraging wider reading by special promotional events and the provision of a wide range of reading material.

•  Providing guidance and practical help in the organisation, development and use of school libraries and information resources.

Visitors are welcome to browse or choose resources.

These services are available to all maintained schools. Non-maintained settings may borrow resources from the Foundation Stage Resource Loan Service, but for book and cassette loans please contact your local library or Sue Powell on 0151 643 7222.

Every maintained school setting and non-maintained setting with Foundation Stage children have been issued with a Foundation Stage Resource Loan Service Borrowing card.

This will enable the setting to borrow items for a period of 6 weeks.

Always phone before you come to pick items up, to check that they have been returned.

The borrowing card is required when accessing the service. It is important for the smooth running of the service that resources are returned on time.
