Sounds and Buttons

Log on in the usual way.

1. Double click on Multimedia Tools within Resources.
2. Double click on Sound Recorder

Recording your sound

1. Plug the microphone in
2. In sound recorder you should have buttons similar to a tape recorder or video
   



3. Record your sound by clicking onto the record button and speaking into the microphone. (The line should waver to show sound is being recorded)

Saving your sound

1. Go to File
2. Save as (I suggest you save it in your work folder)
3. Give your sound a name Eg. Hello.wav

Creating a sound button in Illuminatus

1. Double click on Illuminatus
2. Drag a new page onto the screen
3. Double click on this new page
4. Create a sound button by clicking on and drag a button box onto the page
5. Double click on the button
6. In the caption box give your sound button a name
7. Tick the play sound button near the bottom
8. Select the sound tab
9. Find your sound file in your work folder. Click on the sound file. The line above this box should now read something like

C:\Work\hello.wav

10.Tick the loop box if you wish the sound to be continuous

11. Click OK

Playing your sound

1. Click on preview
2. Click on your sound button and listen to your sound
