Creating a GCSE Relational Database

Name: Susan Jones
Position: Head of ICT, Upton Hall School, FCJ
Project: Creating a GCSE Relational Database
Folder: The Theme Park

This project is aimed at Year 9 and GCSE students who are grade C and above.

This project focuses on pupils being able to work independently using supporting materials with step-by-step handout examples. The database should be created from scratch and allows students to follow instructions to set up a simple relational database. The database should then be modified by pupils to create a substantial relational database that can be modified, queried and allows for the production of reports. It can be expanded further for more able students to create switchboards and sub forms.

I am currently using this work successfully with a couple of able year 8 students.
