How To Book
The purpose of this web site is to assist planning and co-ordination at school level by giving details of the programmes on offer.
Reminders about the activities on this web site will be sent to appropriate schools about three weeks before the starting date: applications should
then be submitted in the usual way.
In addition to the activities listed, the Inspectorate and Advisory Teachers will be involved with specific groups of teachers, individual schools and
groups of schools via the different aspects of the CPD Service Level Agreement.
Applications for LA Activities
- If the training activity is under the Service Level heading check that your school has subscribed to the Service Level Agreement.
- Apply to the appropriate Principal Manager, Consultant, Adviser or Advisory Teacher or member of the secretariat named on the further details which are sent to schools.
- Leave of absence is not required but your Headteacher’s approval must be sought for courses held during school hours.
The Headteacher must agree all applications and sign the application form (if this is the school’s agreed practice).
- You will only be notified if the date for the course is oversubscribed; we will make every effort to offer alternative dates.
- Supply cover is, on very rare occasions, provided from external central funding streams.
If supply is provided this will be made clear when further details are sent to schools - all claims should be submitted within 28 days of completion of the
activity.
