Welcome to the International Dimension Website
The DfES has produced an international strategy called “Putting the World into World Class Education” which aims to mainstream the International Dimension in education. It has three core objectives and the first two are:
- To equip children, young people and adults for life in a global society and work in a global economy.
- To engage with international partners to achieve their goals and ours.
The strategy aims for every school to be twinned with a school abroad within the next 4 years.
Wirral Children and Young People’s Department organises a variety of initiatives based on the International Dimension which play an important role in helping to increase cultural awareness and an understanding of the differences and similarities of people from different countries.
