Wirral School Library Service

Our aim is to work with schools to:

  • promote information literacy through the school library
  • help children develop a love of reading
  • provide teachers and pupils with good quality resources.

We offer these services to help you:

  • advice and practical help in designing and developing school
    libraries
  • resources which have been carefully selected for your needs
  • a delivery service to bring our resources to your school .
  • a centre for you to visit at Acre Lane, or telephone help when you need it.

Who do we serve?

All schools and the teachers working in them in Wirral Education Authority - primary, secondary and special. At present primary and special schools have devolved funding; secondary schools have delegated funding and may choose whether to subscribe to the service. Details of Service Agreements are available from SLS.
