"Clock Around"

What will this game will achieve?
This activity will help your child to read the time to the hour on a clock.

You will need:

                                                       
How do you play?

• Ask your child to look carefully at a clock in your house
  
  • Can they see where the numbers belong?
  • What else can they tell you about the clock?
  • Which hand on the clock moves the fastest?
• Take it in turns to spin the spinner.
  • Can your child put the right time on the clock?
    eg spin 7 = 7 o'clock
• If your child grasps this quickly can they put the time on one hour from the number on the spinner. How about 2 hours, 3 hours etc.
• Try this idea again but this time put the clock back 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours.
