"Fifty-fifty"

What will this game will achieve?
This activity will help your child to count in tens and twenties whilst handling money

You will need:

                                                       
How do you play?

• Look at the coins with your child. If you have real coins to count with that's even better!
• Practice counting 10 pences. Then practice counting in 20 pences. Does your child notice any patterns? (2 times table)
   20   40   60   80   100   120   140   160 etc
  
• Practice adding both 10 pences and 20 pences.
• Begin the game by deciding who will go first
• Take turns to place 10p or 20p on the grid
• The first player to make a line which totals 50p wins. The line can be horizontal, vertical or diagonal
