"Money Game"

What will this game will achieve?
This activity will help your child to add up money totals.  It will give them the opportunity to handle money and give change.

In this example a Pooh bear, a Teletubby, a guitar and a kite were used.  These are simple drawings cut out and laminated.  The prices that were used are:   
                               Winnie the Pooh = 18p
                      Teletubby = 21p
                  Guitar = 16p
                 Kite = 12p


How do you play?
  • Each player chooses a colour and places their playing counter on the matching colour spot on the board
  • Take turns to throw the dice and move the corresponding number of places
  • Each square is marked with an ammount, collect the amount of coins marked on the square you land on from the bank and put it in your piggy bank
  • When you have enough money to buy a toy return the correct amount in coins to the bank, taking change if needed.
  • The first person to collect all four toys and return 'home' wins
