"Number Jigsaw"

What will this game will achieve?
This  activity will help your child use numerals 1 - 10, read words one - ten and match objects to numbers.

You will need:

Jigsaw with 1 - 10 in numerals, one - ten
in words and pictures with 1 - 10 objects

• Look at the jigsaw pieces. Ask your child to build the jigsaw.
• Talk about the jigsaw and ask simple questions:
           -   Where is number 5/6/7 etc.
           -   Which number comes after 3?
           -   Which number comes before 9?
           -   Which number is the greatest?
           -   Which numbers are fewer than 8?
• Ask your child to close their eyes.  Remove one number line. Can they say which number is missing?  Repeat with other numbers.
