"Caterpillar Peg Legs"

What will this game will achieve?
This will help your child to recognise numbers to 10.  It will also give them experience of sums with a total of ten, e.g. "I've got 5 legs, I need 5 more to make 10."

You will need:

• Take all of the pegs off the caterpillars and put them in the middle of the two players
• Take turns to pick a leaf card and peg that number of 'legs' onto the caterpillar, starting at number 1
• Each time your child adds more legs ask:
  - How many legs has you caterpillar got now?
  - How many more legs does he need?
• The winner is the first person to peg all the legs on the caterpillar
