What will this game will achieve?

This activity will help your child understand subtraction or taking away.  They will become familiar with the language of subtraction.


You will need:



How do you play?
  • Each player chooses one side of the board
  • Each player throws the die in turn. The die score is subtracted from six. i.e. If 3 is thrown: 6-3=3 The answer indicates the square to be covered by one f the players' counters
  • The winner is the first player who covers all the numbers on their half of the board first
