The best method of revision is to begin early - as much as a few months before (or even longer) - this will give your brain time to adjust and take in the information.
You can slowly ease yourself into more intense revision as the exam approaches.
Teachers will be able to tell you what they consider important areas to revise - don't be affraid to ask.
Review your notes as soon after lessons as you can - this way you will be able to identifiy areas you don't understand. Again, don't be affraid to ask your teacher.
Revise with a group of other students/school friends - this will help you to cover important material that you may not notice when you are on your own.
Break up the study tasks into manageable chunks, especially during major revision sessions prior to exams.
Revising for three hours in the morning and three in the evening is much better than studying for six hours at a time.
If you feel tired don't bother revising - revising is best done when you are wide awake and alert.
