The Vocational GCSE will be available from September 2002 for the two year programmes [First Certification will be 2004] and will be available in EIGHT areas:
Art and Design
Business
Engineering
Health and Social Care
Information and Communication Technology
Leisure and Tourism
Manufactoring
Science
They consist of THREE compulsory units - two of which have internal assessment with one unit being assessed by examination. They are equivalent to TWO GCSEs or a double award and are reported on a scale A*A* to GG.
